Are Your Free Numbers Really Free?

Yes.

Lots of people ask us this because other providers charge for their numbers and find it difficult to believe that we offer them for FREE.

With Net-Telco you can get a UK number 100% free of charge.

All we ask is that the number assigned to you is called at least once a month, that’s it! You even get to choose which area code you would like a number for.

How Much Does It Cost To Call a Net-Telco Number?

Net-Telco does not charge the caller. It costs no more to call a Net-Telco number than it would calling any other similar number. The caller will be charged by their phone service provider. For a guide on what numbers cost to call please refer to the Ofcom call cost guide.


Can People Dial My Net-Telco Number From Abroad?

Yes if you have paid for a number. You will also need to ask us for this facility as it is not enabled by default.  We will then verify your identity prior to enabling it.

Free numbers can not be called from abroad.

It works just the same as dialling any other number from abroad. Your customers simply need to use the international dialling code for the UK (0044) and drop the leading ‘0’ at the beginning of your number, as they would when dialling any other UK number.

 


How Do I Redirect My Net-Telco Number?

All of our telephone numbers can be redirected to any UK landline or mobile phone number of your choice. To redirect, you simply need to login to your customer control panel and specify which number you would like your incoming calls diverted to.


Can I Divert My Net-Telco Number To a Mobile Phone?

Yes.

All of our telephone numbers can be redirected to any UK mobile phone number of your choice. To redirect, you simply need to login to your customer control panel and specify which number you would like your incoming calls diverted to.


Can I Divert My Net-Telco Number To a VoIP Service Provider?

Yes.

All of our telephone numbers can be redirected to a compatible VoIP service provider using SIP. To redirect, you simply need to login to your customer control panel and specify your sip address.


Are There Any Charges For Diverting Calls From My Net-Telco Number To a Land line Or Mobile?

If someone calls your Net Telco number it will forwarded to the number you have set. All you pay is the cost of the forwarded call at our very low call rates, from 0.4p per minute to landlines, mobile rates vary depending upon the operator. There are no other additional administration or handling costs for you or your callers.


Do I Need To Enter Into a Contract To Use Net-Telco’s Services?

No.

We do not tie you into a service contract like many of our competitors do.

Will I Need To Get Another Line Installed Anywhere To Receive Calls On My Net-Telco Number?

No.

We simply connect your Net-Voice number to your existing landline or mobile telephone number (your destination number). Your destination number will still remain fully active and your callers will still be able to reach you on your existing 01, 02 or 07 number as normal.

In addition, you have full control over which number your Net-Telco is forwarded to from your customer control panel.

 


Can I Change My Number Forward Or Account Settings From a Telephone?

Yes.

You can use either a mobile or land line to make changes to your numbers and account

How do I forward my number to a 3rd party SIP provider?

Log into the Net-Telco Portal. Select Your Numbers from the Numbers drop down. Edit the number you want to forward to the SIP provider by clicking the configure button.

  1. Set the Action to SIP URI
  2. Set the Number / Sip Server to the URI of your 3rd party SIP account e.g. 12345@mysipprovider.com. N.B. don’t include the sip: prefix.
  3. Click Update to apply the changes.
  4. Call your number to test

If you have any issues check with your provider that they allow calls over SIP from 3rd parties.


How do I forward my number to voipcheap.co.uk?

Try username@voipcheapuk.com as specified in voipcheap’s DDI FAQ.

For example:

  1. Set the Action to SIP URI
  2. Set the Number / Sip Server to username@sip.voipcheapuk.com.
  3. Click Update to apply the changes.
  4. Call your number to test

 


How do I setup call announcements and call whisper

Call announcements also know as call whisper allow you to set announcements that either the caller or the called party (person answering the call) will hear. These are set independently so the caller can hear a different announcement to the called party.

How can I use my Net-Telco number as my outbound CLI from my UK land line?

Log into the Net-Telco Portal. Select Registered Numbers from the Numbers drop down.

  1. Add the number of the land line you will be calling from.
  2. Select the Net-Telco number to use as your outgoing CLI.
  3. Click continue to save the changes.
  4. To make calls using your Net-Telco number as the outgoing CLI, prefix the number you are calling with18844. For example to call Net-Telco you would dial 1884408458758750.

You must have call credit in your  account to make calls.
Calls will be charged for at our standard rates plus 0.5p per minute.
(N.B. this feature is not available with free numbers)

 


How can I use my Net-Telco number as my outbound CLI from my mobile?

Log into the Net-Telco Portal. Select Registered Numbers from the Numbers drop down.

  1. Add the number of the mobile you will be calling from.
  2. Select the Net-Telco number to use as your outgoing CLI.
  3. Click continue to save the changes.
  4. To make calls using your Net-Telco number as the outgoing CLI, call our gateway number 03302201100. You will be prompted for the number you want to call.

You must have call credit in your  account to make calls.
Calls will be charged for at our standard rates.
Your mobile provider may charge you for calling our gateway number. If you have bundled minutes, calls to our gateway will be included in the bundled minutes.
